The Most Perfect Meme WorkDay: When The Entire Team Goes MIA
Friday was supposed to be the fun day of the week, but it turned out to be the busiest day. It was so chaotic that if I told you, you might think I’m exaggerating. Sometimes, when you’re in the thick of it, you can’t help but laugh at your situation. Here’s what happened:
There was a lot of chatter in every chat group about the delay in UAT sign-off for this particular group. Even though I knew it had been stuck for a while, I never realized we had hit the final deadline. My project manager asked me why the story wasn’t signed off. As a newly joined BA, Here is the situation that I got stuck in and I could not laugh at it.
- The product owner who gave the requirement was on paternity leave.
- The BA who groomed the story had moved to a different team.
- The technical lead had gone on leave after spending a few hours on it.
- The developer who worked on the story was on leave.
- The QA was on sick leave.
When I told this story to a colleague, there was an awkward silence for what felt like an eternity. Finally, my colleague burst out laughing! I wasn’t sure if he’d even grasped the situation, because let’s be honest, it was straight out of a meme. At that moment, I couldn’t help but crack a smile. Maybe it wasn’t the relaxing Friday I’d envisioned, but hey, at least I had some good meme material!
